When compromise, cooperation and finding the middle ground become anathema to the process of governing then governing ceases. The tea-party candidate who defeated Richard Luger claimed that to him, bipartisan only means that the democrats see things from the republican perspective. What happened in NC and the other 30 (!!!!) states is just the latest example of how deeply divided we are. How is it that the people in those states cannot see that society, in the states where equality is the law, has not broken down, moral corruption has not taken over and that the children are still safe? When the world is viewed through the narrow lens of biblical intolerance, there is very little room for freedom.
